New to BU? Library Fundamentals

Information about using the services, resources, and space at the Cullom-Davis Library.

Research Guides

The library's research guides collect information and resources about a topic, subject, or specific course. You can view all the research guides using the link below.

Your Google Scholar Account

You can use Google Scholar and link to library resources. If you use Google Scholar, use the customized link so that the "Get it @ Bradley" links will appear in the results. Then when you search using Google Scholar, you will see a "Get It @ BU" or "Get Help at BU" link. These links will direct you back to the library's catalog for full-text access or to request the item through interlibrary loan.

Citation Management

If you need assistance with keeping track of all the resources you find for a project, you may benefit from using a citation management tool. Zotero is the most often used citation management tool and you can learn more about it on the guide linked below.

Unpay Wall

If you are searching the web and you keep running into paywalls, a web extension called Unpay Wall may be able to help you. By adding this extension to your web browser, you will be notified when there is an open-access version of the article. Clicking on the green open lock icon will direct you to the open-access version. The library has also added Unpay Wall to the catalog. More about Unpay Wall at the link below.
