Permalinks

All the various ways to create a permalink for library resources to share with Bradley faculty, staff, and students

Ebsco

You can access the permalinks to resources like PDFs of articles, videos, and e-books within EBSChost databases including Academic Search Complete, CINAHL, Consumer Health Complete, ERIC, Health Source, MathSciNet, Mental Measurements, Yearbook with Tests in Print, and more.

Step 1: Find the permalink icon on the right hand side of the detailed record and click on it.
Step 2: Copy and paste all of the text in the box to the right of 'Permalink' which will be above the title of the resource.

ProQuest

Proquest does not add the EZproxy link within the database. After you locate the link within the database, use the EZproxy Link Generator to complete your permalink.

Step 1: Click on either 'Abstract/Details' or 'Details'

Step 2: Find the document URL (it will be near the bottom), copy and paste it into the EZproxy Link Generator.

Gale

Gale does not add the EZproxy link within the database. After you locate the link within the database, use the EZproxy Link Generator to complete your permalink.

Step 1: Find the 'Get Link' in the top right hand of the resource's record.

Step 2: Hit the 'Select' button and then copy and paste the permalink into the EZproxy Link Generator.

For any resource were the full text is available through Nexis Uni which does not add the EZproxy link within the database. After you locate the link within the database, use the EZproxy Link Generator to complete your permalink.

Step 1: Find the 'Link to the Page' under 'Actions' which will be to the right of the title of the resource.

Step 2: Copy the link and paste it into the EZproxy Link Generator.

JSTOR

When you are signed into Bradley's JSTOR there will be a 'Remote Access URL' for every resource.

In the record of the specific item, find the 'Remote Access URL' on the left hand side of the record. Copy and use this link.

Project Muse

Permalinks for resources within ProjectMuse can have two formats. If the resource has a DOI, the EZproxy server address can be added by using the EZproxy Link Generator. If the resource DOES NOT have a DOI, follow the below steps.

Step 1: Fine the 'View Citation' link in the resource's record.

Step 2: Find the complete URL in one of the citation styles (usually APA) and copy just the URL.

Step 3: Copy the complete URL into the EZproxy Link Generator.

Step 4: The link is now ready to be copied and pasted.

The publisher assigns a DOI when an article is published and made available electronically. For some of the library resources, the DOI can be combined with the EZproxy link address to become the permalink.

Below is a list of publishers that the DOI of the articles work as the permalink.

  • IEEE
  • Sage
  • Springer
  • Wiley
