Resources about MMIWG2S.

Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, & Two-Spirit (MMIWG2S) is the term used to describe the movement that raises awareness of and works for justice regarding the disproportionate violence experienced by Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit persons. MMIWG2S includes efforts to increase national awareness and understanding of missing or murdered Indigenous persons.

"Native American and Alaska Native rates of murder, rape, and violent crime are all higher than the national averages. When looking at missing and murdered cases, data shows that Native American and Alaska Native women make up a significant portion of missing and murdered individuals." -US Department of Interior, Indian Affairs
