There are many different ways to do an effective search for sources about counseling in the catalog. Here are two tips:
Most items about counseling should have "Counseling" or "Psychotherapy" as a subject heading. You can limit your results to just items with the Counseling subject (or psychotehrapy) by doing an Advanced Search and searching for "counseling" as a subject (or psychotherapy).
If you are not finding what you need within our catalog, you can change your search to All I-Share Libraries to search multiple college and university libraries in Illinois. You can request items from these libraries and pick them up at the check-out desk in our library. The I-Share tutorial will show you how to do this.
